Baby activity classes/groups

I am currently unemployed and looking for work and am on a tight budget.  In the meantime I would like to get LO into some classes so he can interact with other babies and have fun doing things.  Where can I find free or really cheap classes/groups for 6 months old LO and me?

    Many local libraries have "book babies" which a interactive story/play time which is free and fun.  Also some hospitals have mom's groups that get together periodically.  There is also www.meetup.com which is usually area specific.  So depending on what side of town you live in there might be a meetup group in your area.  If not, you can always start one.

    Library time!  My church also has weekly playgroups by age that are free.

    You can look on meetup.com for playgroups.

    Barnes & Noble also do a free storytime.

    The Motherhood Center has free story time and play groups during the week if you are interested in that-we take classes there and plan to join these activities as well!!
