I need to buy some nursing bras. I don't want to order online - I have such a hard time getting something that fits well, so I was thinking of going to Target and Motherhood Maternity.
I'm still really sore around incision and stomach, but I am moving around. DS is 3 days old, nursing constantly, and my milk started coming in today, so I was thinking of trying to go tomorrow or Monday. DH or my mom would go with me of course, but I wonder if that is just too soon for either of us to be out and about...
Then again, I didn't buy anything ahead of time, and I need something comfortable fast.
WDYT?
Re: How soon would you go shopping with LO after c-section?

as long as someone else is driving, you're probably fine. my dr said not to drive until i was confident i could slam my foot on the brakes and that happened at about 3 weeks. as for having LO out, everyone is different. i didn't take DS anywhere but the dr until he was 5 weeks but that's just my comfort level.
you're braver than i am, though. at 3 days i wasn't sure what day it was and i was still BFFs with the percocet.
This exactly!!!! DD is 2 weeks now and we still haven't taken her much of anywhere other than pediatrician appointments. That's because I'm mostly paranoid and has nothing to do with the C/S.
Btw - at 3 days post c/s I was still in the hospital.
At this point, the internet is your friend. That's how I do most of my shopping. In fact, I'm about to go buy some diet coke from Amazon. LOL.
I went probably about 4days after I got home so I was a week out from my c-section. I had an unexpected cesarean so I was NOT prepared at all so I had to get underwear besides the mesh panties the hospital has. I also had to get nursing tanks since DS came early and I had nothing.
My mother came with me and we didn't do too much. I was definitely sore afterwards though and I decided not to do that again for awhile.
I was a bridesmaid in my brother's wedding when DD1 was 1 month old. I spent the 3 weeks leading up to the wedding doing a TON of errands and shopping. It was insane.
Like PP's said, just listen to your body. You'll probably be sore, but you'll be okay. I honestly think being out so much made my whole recovery easier. I was 100% at the wedding, I felt great. But you'll know your limits.
