So that leaves me with the options of:

    Quinn Aubrielle Rae Walker
    Quinn Aubrey Rae Walker
Quinn Rae Walker (which doesn't flow well IMO)
    Quinn Shelbi Walker

    Right there.

  • Loading the player...
  • Yes, that is an option.  Doesn't mean I like it or that I'm seriously considering it.  It's Rae's first name and I felt obligated to list it.
  • DD#3 is Quinn so I LOVE that :)

Aubrielle sounds pretty, but is NMS

Rae is NMS and sounds kind of like a not-needed filler name.

I would go with Quinn Aubrielle and use Rae another time.

    GL :)

  • I think they are all nice names.

I'm using one friend's middle name and I was going to make the other middle name a form of the other friend's name along with making her the godmother.  That's why I was okay with it -- I was using a form of her first name AND making her the godmother while using the other friend's middle name as DD's middle name.  That's why I was okay with only using part of her name, whichever way you want to look at it.  She's not uptight enough to care that it's only part of her name because the intent was to honor her.

I didn't want to call the baby Aubrey or Rae or Aubrielle because it would be too confusing to have two Aubrey's running around or two Rae's running around.  The baby would go by Quinn, her first name.  Her middle name(s) would just honor people close to us.

Edit:  I guess I could leave out Aubrey altogether since she'll be godmother and just use Quinn Shelbi (which is Rae's first name) or Quinn Rae.  I don't particularly like Rachel and that's not really close enough for my taste because only the first two letters are in the name.

So that leaves me with the options of:

    Quinn Aubrielle Rae Walker
    Quinn Aubrey Rae Walker
Quinn Rae Walker (which doesn't flow well IMO)
    Quinn Shelbi Walker

I can't understand what's confusing about a child and a woman atleast 18 years older having the same name. Will she be spending all her time with those women? No. There's nothing confusing about it. Oh well- Idk why you asked opinions since you've already made up your mind.

This. My sister, Jill, was named after my moms best friend. Her first name is also Jill. There has never been any confusion.

  • Counsel Elf Ewe (the meaning of the 3 names which made me chuckle)

The  flow of the whole name is really bad. Quinn is trendy and NMS, Aubrielle sounds horrid. I get you're trying to honor friends but no need to hurt your child doing so. Use Aubrey or even Shelbie

Maybe go with a name to honor your friends that have the same meaning then again "Elf" names are limit

    Other names with same meaning:

    Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";}

Elf:  Alfreda, Alva, Alvina, Aubrey, Avery and Elvina are popular names. Ailsa, Albreda, Alvar, Alvara, Alverdine, Arwen, Elfrida and Nissa

    Ewe: Rachel, Rae and Ray

     Shelbie means Willow.

What about Aubrey Willow so it just doesn't sound like a filler OR since you're already honoring Aubrey with her being the Godmother then Maybe

    Quinn Willow or Shelbie Quinn

Hope these are really good life long friends!! People grow apart over time so I'd make sure it is a name you could live with regardless. Are they naming their kids after you?

  • I think people will so rarely see your child's middle name that you should pick whatever you like and not care at all what people think or say. I don't even think it matters if it flows because it will so rarely be seen. Name your child whatever you want, especially middle name. First name, I'd be more interested in people's opinions...
  • I think your post should have been, "I have decided to name DD Quinn Aubrielle Rae" if you didn't want opinions not "WDYT"?

  • I prefer Zara

I dont think Abrielle is so bad since it is a middle name.  And if you name her zara Abrielle Rae, then her initials are ZAR too. interesting...

I dont think Aubrielle is naming someone after someone called Aubrey.

My name is Robyn.  If someone named their child Roberta, I wouldnt feel honoured.

  • zara is a million times better than any of the names in the OP.

    Yep.  I'm the Peach Queen.

Actually, I did take what a few ladies said into account.  I dropped Aubrielle which I didn't plan on doing ahead of posting here. :)  Ya'll helped me see that Aubrey Rae sounded okay as a middle name.  Thanks.

I think you've taken the responses rather well, actually! :) And Aubrey instead of Aubrielle will be beautiful. Good choice.

  • Is there a husband involved in this naming?

I'm hearing a lot of "I" in this thread. Does he have an opinion? I'd personally feel kind of bad if my husband and I were only having one baby and I felt the need to stuff my best friends' names in the only child's name. Maybe you pick one middle name and he picks the other, or something.

If you want an opinion on the name you originally brought to his thread, I don't like it. At all. I don't like Quinn for a girl. Since she'd go by Quinn, there's nothing pretty or feminine about it when it stands alone. I think Aubrielle is trashy and a poor attempt at honoring someone named Aubrey. Rae is not my style, but at least it's the actual name.

  • I have no problem with two mns, as it's my family tradition, and I have two middle names. However, I don't really think any combination you have going flows all that well, except Quinn Shelbi. Did you think about a double fn? I know lots of ppl with Rae as part of their dbl fn. I know a Shauna Rae, Donna Rae, Kimberly Rae, etc.

  • Really love Quinn and Aubrey.
