Childcare help/question???

So... Not sure when I will be released from the hospital, but when I am I will be on strict bedrest.  That means we need help with my little girl!!!

We don't have family up here and all of my friends work.  DH can probably work from home a few days, but we don't want to press our luck and this could be for weeks, you know?

Anyway, anyone know of someone that could come stay at the apartment with Cerys and I during the day and take care of her?  They wouldn't have to clean or cook or anything (except getting her food) and maybe just run to the grocery right down the road every once in awhile.

My mother said she could take her to Louisville since we know people there, but that's a big fat negative for me!

Or- does anyone know of a daycare I could put her in a few days a week (and DH could work from home the other days) that would be able to take her ASAP???

OR- any other ideas?
I have a girlfriend that is trying to work something out where she can come up with her son from NC to help out.  My aunt WAS going to come help me if this happened but she tore her rotator cuff and also may have had a stroke!!! So that really leaves us hanging!

HELP!!!

Re: Childcare help/question???

  • Jonah's babysitter might be able to help out. She's located in Sharonville, right near the intersection of Kemper Rd. and Reed Hartman Highway. Let me know if you want her information.

  • You could try contacting xavier or UC to see if there are any girls that are looking for summer jobs. (education majors??)

  • Check out care.com.  There are lots of nannies over there looking for work.  It should be an easy find since colleges are almost out for summer break.

  • What area of town are you in? We sometimes use KidzWatch in Montgomery. It's a drop-in childcare center: you can use them as little or as much as you want and pay per hour, part-time rate or full-time rate. We have been really happy with the care they provide, everyone is super nice as well. I know there are a couple other places around town that have a similar setup but I don't know the names of them.
