question bout G.I. issues

My daughter has been on Probiotics since she was 1 month old.  You can tell it has helped her so much with spitting up and gas issues, but its not completely solved.  She still has spit up troubles even though she is on Zantac.  Are G.I. problems something that will be a constant issue for heror do things like this resolve themselves?

I also saw a post earlier about digestive enzymes.  Can someone explain those to me?

Thanks!

  • Oh man, I hope they get better, we are at 10mo and still having crazy GI issues. Sorry, I am of no help, just want you to know you are not alone in dealing with it. Hope it gets better for your DD!

  • If you think it could be at all dairy related, be very careful about which probiotics you use.  Even ones that say they're DF upset DD when I put her on them.

  • We have to switch up probiotics about once a month/6 weeks to keep my kids guts in check.  If we keep them on one kind for too long their guts become resistant to it and they start having problems again.

The other link I posted about digestive enzymes has a TON of great information.

When I first started to dive in to it and really figure out what they could accomplish for the gut I read this book.  It's like a cliff notes version....very helpful and cheap!
