Pregnant after a Loss

self-tanners?

Are there any self-tanning sprays or lotions that are safe to use when you are pregnant? I need some COLOR!!

Re: self-tanners?

  • Not too sure.  I used to work at a tanning salon in college and anything we carried with DHA was not safe when pregnant or breastfeeding.

I got a spray tan. I hope that is safe.
  • My Dr. told me to avoid self tanners. She said while there is no evidence that it's harmful, there's not enough to say it's safe. She said if it's not a necessity, why risk it? You might get a different answer from your OB though. Can't hurt to ask.

This is how I feel about it.  Anything you put on your skin is absorbed.
