We're going to Ohio! 

It's Trav's nephew's first birthday party, so we are heading out to see the family. Tonight we are driving to just outside of Pittsburgh, where we're going to spend the night. Saturday we'll drive into the city to eat at Pamanti Brother's, ride the incline, and go to the Warhol museum.

After that we'll drive the rest of the way to his brothers. 

Saturday and Sunday we'll be with my ILs. Monday morning we'll leave to drive back, with as many stops along the way as we need.

Tonight is the inaugural viewing of Star Wars (the original.) The boys have been asking to see it for a year and we agreed they could watch it when they turned 5. Well, the night is here. Honestly, I don't think they will be as into it as they think they will be, but we'll see. So, we will be ordering pizza and watching Star Wars. yay.

Tomorrow L is working on her dissertation and I am taking the kids to get their haircut at the gym and then letting them play in childcare (they love it.) If they have a massage appt open, I may do that while they play since my back has really been hurting. I wrote to a family in our Rainbow Families group about meeting at a local playground, but never heard anything. I promised to take them to the community center/library parking lot with their new bikes to practice riding and get new books.  I'll work on thank you notes during nap and in the evening they will be going back to the gym for parents night out. L and I haven't figured out what we are doing. Sadly, there aren't any movies we want to see that fit with the timing.

Sunday we are taking the kids to their first baseball game with friends. I don't think we'll last too many innings, but the kids are excited. I think we'll take the train to the stadium, so that will probably be the highlight of the day!

This cracks me up! Have you thought about showing them the Ewok movie? That might hold their attention a bit more.

I think there might be a major revolt if it wasn't the "real" Star Wars! Perhaps the Ewok movie  will be the sequel since they won't be allowed to see the entire series. We figured the action in a 1977 movie would be much tamer than the 2010 (or whenever it was made) version.

Your Star Wars plan is funny, 2brides.  I will be interested to hear how they like it!  My DW has not seen the trilogy, and last time we were with my sister and BIL we watched the first one to educate her.  

Tonight we're going to a Mexican restaurant and the movie Bridesmaids with our friend.  Tomorrow we need to do all the errands/cleaning/boringness.  Our cupboards/refridgerator are literally empty.  Sunday we're hanging out with our friend and her 2 year old.  We were hoping to be outside for the first nice day in a while, but the forecast just changed to more rain.  If it rains we may go to a library storytime.  Logical for two childless adults, right?  Haha, this is why we need to get going!   Apparently this is going to be social weekend, after several of just us or family.

DD is at her dad's this weekend and it's finally sunny here...at least today, so it's time for some fun!

Tonight happy hour (hopefully on an outdoor patio) with a good friend. My gf comes home from working a 60 hour shift late this evening. A good pal of hers is dating a new boy who's in a band, so I think we will go see him play late tonight.

Tomorrow sleeping in! Then my gf and I are using group.ons to go to a paintball place. Never been, but figure it should be fun!!! Afterwards we will drive to a nearby brewery that makes my favorite blonde beer. Mmmmm.

Sunday we have tickets to see the symphony in the afternoon. Not sure what we'll do before or after that yet. Wow, does that seem weird to be shooting guns and going to the symphony in the same weekend? Hahahaha.

hm, I don't know what we're doing this weekend, actually. my wife is working OT tonight. I'm thinking there was something tomorrow afternoon but I can't for the life of me remember what and it isn't on my calendar so maybe not? I might try to get together with a friend of mine either at the zoo or the conservatory tomorrow morning while my wife is sleeping, but I don't know yet for sure.

Sunday my wife will have softball in the afternoon if the weather holds and the fields aren't flooded. so far every game they've had scheduled this season has been canceled, though, so we'll see.

OH! I remembered what tomorrow is! there's some beer thing that my wife is going to with her sister's GF in the evening (neither of us are interested), and I'm going to take the boy to a friend's football game while she's there then pick her up after.

Today: Making bread, took Iz to the Dr, taking the girls to A's school fair tonight.

Saturday: DW's aunts birthday party.

Sunday: I'm driving to San Diego with the girls to my brothers baby shower.
