Hi! My first is due at the end of October. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a quality stroller. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
Uppababy! You can buy one at the headquarters in Hingham for half of the price of brand new one - i love mine!
We have a Peg Perego P3 travel system that my Mom bought for us and while I appreciate her generosity I am concerned it might not be the best for city life. I see everyone around Boston with the Uppababy and assume it must be fantastic because of weight, ability to cobblestones, or something.
Would love to hear your further thoughts on why you love yours...
We're first-timers too, but we really liked the City Mini that we tested at Isis. It's lighter weight than most strollers we looked at, but still sturdy and moves smoothly. The shade has good coverage. Plus, it has a truly one-handed folding mechanism: there's a cloth loop handle under where the baby sits that, once pulled firmly, will collapse the stroller nicely.
I've read, though, that if we start attaching accessories like cup holders and pouches, we'll have more difficulty folding it up- but I'd imagine that's how most strollers would be?
We're also buying the City Mini which we'll be using with the car seat adaptor (although you can use it for a newborn because it reclines). We were looking for something small, lightweight and with a one-handed folding mechanism. I've seen tons of them around town so it's obviously a popular stroller for the urban mom.
If you go to the Babygizmo website, there's a short video demo. It helped seal the deal for us.
we just bought the Icoo Pacific at a great deal at Baby Furniture Warehouse in Reading. It was the floor model so we got a huge discount and i love it! They have alot of higher end strollers if you want to see them IRL.

I originally received the City Mini as a gift, but I swapped it for the City Elite. It had some additional features I liked, but the City Mini is great, too
