Have you used them? Was your experience positive?

My parents are our go-to babysitters and are out of the country for the next few weeks and DH wants to take me out. I'm also leaving DH and DD alone next weekend for my first vacay and I feel like I need to have a few back up sitters anyway as there will be other times that the GP's aren't available. I'm hesitant to do the online thing, but it might be my only option.

    I'm currently in the free trial and have gotten like 9 responses. We need to set up interviews to talk to them and then see.

    I've liked it a lot better than ca re dot com. That one felt like i was trolling the internet for a hottie for the kiddo. 

    So I'm only a step ahead of you and not too much help.

    Thanks! DH wants me to find a sitter for this weekend and that's just not going to happen with this site as I won't have time to interview and do background checks, but I figure it's time to start searching anyway so that I have one or two people on file.

    Out of curiosity, do you interview in person or on the phone? I don't remember ever being interviewed to babysit - mama's just called me and I showed up and they gave me a look up and down at the door to make sure I wasn't a serial killer. Things are totally different now that it's my own kiddo and times sure have changed... I don't even know where to begin! I wish I had some teenaged neighbors!

    I'm planning on asking her today! She doesn't babysit, but DID say that while I'm out of town DH can call her in case of emergency.

    for us, we don't know anyone here, so I don't feel comfortable just saying, "your profile looks good, come on over".

    I figured we'd have them over to the house, just want to see how H interacts with them. 

    they have background checks on file on the site, but you have to have the paid membership for that :)
