Yesterday at my apt my MW stripped my membranes and gave me castor oil to speed things up a little because she is concerned about the swelling I have been experiencing as well as my blood pressure. If you've had your membranes stripped before how far along were you and what was the end result. TIA

With DS2 I had my memebranes stripped at my 39w appt. The appt was around 9am. By noon I was having very, very minor contractions (so minor that I thought I might be imagining them). The next day I had the same minor contractions on and off all day. Around 8pm they started to get a little more painful and I could time them to 8 minutes apart. By midnight I knew this was the real thing and Nolan was born at 7:15am at 39w2d. So I guess it took about 2 days from the time my membranes were stripped until he was born. Good luck!

(With DS1 I had my membranes stripped at my 40w appt and my water broke as I was walking out of the office and Brady was born that night)

I had my membranes stripped at 37w1d, which was a Friday afternoon, due to swelling and blood pressure, etc. My water broke the following Monday morning at 6:15 and DD was born on Tuesday. Good luck!

With #2, I had my membranes stripped at 41w3d.  I went into labor the followjing evening (41w4d) and gave birth the following morning after that (41w5d).

I had my membranes stripped at 38w4d. The next night I lost my MP and had some bloody show which lasted 2 days. At 39 weeks, everything stopped. No mucus, no blood, no contractions. I was bummed. Then at 11:00 that night, I began having contractions. DD was born at 7:49 AM at 39w1d.

I had it done at 37w6d - lost my mucous plug that night, had contractions all the next day, and went in to be induced the next morning - just needed cytotec and my water broken, no pitocin, an easy induction

Had my membranes stripped when I was 38 wks along with number 3.  After 12 hours and a lot of walking I was holding our new baby girl   I have heard that Castor Oil is some nasty stuff!  Good Luck to you, hope you meet your new little one soon!!

Had my membranes stripped the day before DS was born - obviously it worked to get him out as there was about 24 hours inbetween the stripping and the birthing.  He was born at 39 weeks exactly.
