I went back to work today and now that LO is at the IL's twice a week and daycare twice a week, I am wondering if I should start daily baths. Up to this point we were bathing every other day. What's everyone else doing?
We bathe everyday- especially since DS goes to daycare. I know the germs are invevitable, but it still grosses me out. He loves 'em and it's really become a calming part of our bedtime routine.
We're still doing a couple of times a week... she has insanely sensitive skin so less is better with her. And she doesn't go to DC so we're not worried about that.
Dee,
Mommy to: Sofia, born 2/9/11, as well as three dogs, two cats and a multitude of chinchillas.
We startEd baths every day when DS was a month and half old. His reflux was horrible so we had to otherwise his neck would get gross and, even though we wiped him down after each spit up, he would smell. Blegh.
We started at 8 weeks when I went back to work as part of her bedtime routine. She LOVES bath time. We don't always use soap though, since she doesn't really get dirty, even at daycare. She's such a girl; she usually doesn't require an outfit change all day.
I married a ginger.

DD hates baths so much! I don't make her take them unless she spit up a ton, had a serious poo blowout, we played in the dirt, or she has too many fuzzies stuck in her hands from grabbing everyone's clothes.
I do a couple baths a week. I'll do it more often once he's moving around and getting into things. On nights he does not get a full bath I still wipe him down with a damp wash cloth before his lotion goes on.
We are still bathing every other day. Sometimes we throw in an extra here and there if he has spit up or is stinky.

We bathe DD every night as part of her bedtime routine. She sleeps way better when we do!
This! We started at 4 weeks.
Here as well, it's been a part of our routine since 4 weeks - It warms him and calms him down and gets him ready for a long night of sleep. We do it in the big bathtub, no baby tub, and he loves floating and kicking his legs. He also gets his hair washed & exfoliated with the baby brush every night too, and loves it!

We've been doing daily baths since she was like 4 weeks old. She is usually good for a poo that gets all over her front, and since she is a girl, I am super crazy when it comes to cleaning her.
Even though DD is in daycare 4 days a week, I still don't bathe her everyday. I don't want her skin to get too dry. So, she gets baths on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
We do every other day, but if my LO was going to daycare, I think I would probably switch it up to every day too. You never know what they've been up to all day.
We do, and have done, daily baths for quite some time, at least a month. DS spits up so much that if we don't do a bath (with soap) every day, he smells like sour milk all the time. It also helps him to get into bedtime at night.

As the teacher of 6 and 7 year olds I would like to kindly disagree. My students stink!
But as far as bathing my DD, I admit now that I'm back at work it's only every three days or so.
