I'm thinking about looking for a jr.high (or so) girl to come in the mornings this summer just to help me with the kids outside. It's pretty tough to keep all the kids happy and safe outside by myself.
~Crystal~SAHM to Sam (5), Hugh (3), Mary & Grace (22 months) : )
I had help from about 2.5 months to 4.5 months. She was a recent nursing grad that would be moving and needed some short term, part time work. She'd help me with two daytime feedings and stay home while the babies napped so I could go to the gym and run errands. It helped me get through the hump of those really hard first few months. Now I'm going it alone, although I do have family that stops by sometimes to visit.
Alone. They do go to hourly care for 4 hours 2-4 times a month, but that's really only while DH is deployed because I NEED a little bit of kid-free time or I will effing lose it.
All alone. Sometimes my MIL comes to help if I really need to get some stuff done or need a break but honestly that usually just winds up being even more work.
I would love help but with me not working it's really just not in the budget.
I go it alone. But if I was feeling richer I would probably hire someone to watch them a few times a week so I could run errands and have some me time. I am looking into joining a gym with childcare to get in some alone time + exercise.
I'm also alone. But most Fridays I meet up with my mom for lunch or shopping or something fun. I try to make lunch dates with my friends but I'm the only SAHM in my circle so it's tough.
My dad pops in here in there, for an hour or 2 maybe 2 days a week. My DH jokes and says everyone Dropped me! ( or stopped coming around) The 1st month or 2 everyone stopped by but when they realized its actually work they stopped coming!
I just became a SAHM a couple weeks ago. And so far, it do it myself. But once we move, I may see if my niece/SIL want to come over to help with the babies a couple mornings during the week.

I'm at home with our girls, I stopped working shortly after they were 4 months old. My hubby works 45-50 hours a week and then 70+ hours 3 months out of the year. It is definitly the hardest job I've ever had - but you cannot beat the pay and benefits!!
I have help. My mom, who is retired, comes 5 days a week from 8:00-2:00. I also haver DD in MDO two days a week for 5 hours. I am still here most of the time but it allows me to spend 1-1 time with kids and get some other things done.

i fly solo day in and day out. my inlaws are no help really at all, my parents are states away and DH works from 7am to 12am or later. thats 17 hrs a day or more. and im new to this area and dont know anyone, so needless to say, i do it all by myself all day every day with no me time. i have not had me time since the babies were 3 mo old. and they are over 9 mo now. i think i deserve a break.

Re: SAHMOM?
I don't have someone come help me with my kids, if that's what you mean.
We recently hired a housecleaner that comes every two weeks to take the big cleaning off my shoulders.

No help ever since they were 10 weeks old (my mom was here from weeks 3-10 to live with us, and that was it).
