If you use powder formula..

Do you use tap water? If so, do you boil it? If you use something other than straight tap water, what is it?

Thanks. :)

DH and I bought DD her own small brita filter.  We put tap water in the filter and then let it sit on our counter so it's room temp. when she eats it

We do almost the same thing. We have a beverage dispenser on the counter that we pour water from the brita pitcher into and let it sit at room temperature.

We use room temp jugs of bottled water from the store. We're on well water and there's no way I'm using that.

Room temp purified water. You can get a gallon for around $.99 at BRU or Target. It lasts us a while since I'm primarily breastfeeding and just supplementing a little each day.

I guess I'm in the minority, we just use tap.

I BF but supplement 1-2 bottles of formula day.

We use tap but we boil it.

We already had a filter on our sink, so we use the filter water if we are down here.  In the middle of the night if he wakes up I just use tap water out of our sink cause I'm too lazy to walk downstairs.

Thanks everyone. I'm BFing and supplementing, and for the formula, I've just been using straight tap water. I guess I'd heard of boiling and nursery water, but it never occurred to me. My Mom mentioned it today and acted shocked when I said we were just using straight tap water. We do have a filter, but that's it.

I'm trying to decide if we should use nursery water or at least boil our tap water..

Room temp bottled water.  There is an abnormally high amount of flouride in water in our area according to our pedi, plus, people don't make jokes about the gross DC water for nothing.

LOL. I live in Northern VA, I definitely don't drink DC water out the tap =)

Yep. I wouldn't drink our tap water, so neither will DS.

We just use the filtered water from our fridge. Pedi said that was fine.
