I wanted to get E a doll for her b'day (May 30) and tried a couple times for a Bamboletta. I was just checking out Spots and found
this one.
What really pulls me to it is her name is Cadence, which is my BFF's daughter's name who is a week older than E, and they both have red hair. They are besties and now I totally want it. I know DH will KILL me if I ever paid $400 for a doll.

Re: Talk me out of this!!!!
I came in fully prepared to talk you into it, but... no.
$400 for a doll that kids will slobber on, pull the hair (possibly cut), drag through the dirt, and kick around? Which is what should happen should the kid love the doll enough?
No.
I confess I don't "get" the bambo dolls. Maybe your DD is more well mannered than mine, but there is NO EFFING WAY I would let DD play with something that cost $400. And it would seem sad to me to give her a b-day present she couldn't actually play with.
I got Lucy a doll from Nimble Phish on HC and I think it was like $50 and it's SUPER cute. It fits preemie clothes and is machine washable. :-)
Ditto pixy.
It's like buying a $200 GM. Unless you're a collector and going to put it on a shelf and never use it, it makes no sense. And I am an avid anti-collector so I can't even sanction that. Just say no.
I think I've talked myself out of it.
Jenny- I checked out Nimble Phish on HC, she doesn't have anything available:(
Any other doll recommendations?
I know she's (Nimble Phish) is moving her store to etsy and wasn't stocking anymore on HC. I would check out her facebook page
$150-200
Which, after trying to make one myself, I can understand since they're made by hand.
