How much are pool noodles and...

Are they big enough if you put them below the sheet, they'll create a buffer to signal the edge to a kid? I'm not worried about her FALLING out honestly, just a side to recognize.

    I think they are about $3 at the grocery store, but they are probably on sale somewhere (or check the dollar store).

    We got ours for a dollar but the "nice" ones (thicker) cost more. But I think a dollar on would work for what you are trying to do.
