Right now, my LOs have their own rooms. DD1 goes to bed first, and then DD2 goes to bed. We move on Friday and they will then share a room. DD1 is a light sleeper, so on one hand I want to put DD2 to bed first when they share so that DD1 doesn't wake up and then I have to try to put her to bed all over again. However I don't think DD1 will go to bed easily if she sees #2 in the room. What do you do?
Re: if your LOs share a room, who goes to bed first?
DD1 is 20 months. DD2 is 7.5 months. On non-bath nights, we usually put DD2 down at 7, and DD1 down at 8. On bath nights, we put them in the bath between 7:15 and 7:30, and then they are both in bed by 8:15. DD2 does get cranky, but this is the best way for us.
On nights DD2 goes down first, she usually wakes a bit when we bring DD1 in. DD1 usually looks at her and says "BABY!" but that's about it. She goes to bed fine either way.
