We are at our wits end with DS1's chronic stomach pain and DS2's ear infections. We have DS1 scheduled for an endoscopy and colonoscopy to see what is going on in there and DS2 scheduled for ear tubes. I absolutely hate the idea of having the procedures, but don't know what else to do to help them.
In the meantime, I took them to a doctor in our area that is pretty renown for his holistic work in chiropractic, nutrition another care. He did NRT on both of them. He said DS1 has an inflamed and irritated lower intestine because he isn't digesting his food enough. He told us to take digestive enzymes to help get digestion on track and aloe juice to help sooth the lower intestine. He said DS2's ear infection is fungal (that is why antibiotics won't work) caused by a weakening due to a toxic metal content in his little body (most likely due to extraneous stuff in vax). He has him taking cilantro drops to detox the metal and 2 kinds of fungus drops (ear and oral).
Anyway, it seems a little weird science-like when he is working, but his assessments resonate with me as pretty dead on. I am hoping this holistic stuff works and we don't need anything invasive after all. It seems to be working a little bit so far. Anyone else go down this path? What was your result? TIA
Re: Anyone try Nutrition Response Testing?
How did he figure the metals? Blood test? Why does he think they are from vax and not another environmental source? I'd be very curious about him talking metals if he didn't do a blood test or a very thorough evaluation, or know exactly which vax batch your son received.
An adult friend had her metals tested and was on some alternative therapies that ended up making her very sick, so she had to stop it.

Anyway, I am not here to defend NRT or the metal components in vaccinations. Believe me, I don't have the energy today. Just wondering if anyone here has experience with NRT.
I know some people who have had a lot of luck with homeopathic remedies. Most of them tried them out of desperation due to medical doctors not being able to help and becoming desperate. I actually am pretty open-minded about this stuff only because I have seen some things work first-hand. Having said that, I also believe in regular medicine, although I don't think it is *always the answer for everything.
I would proceed with caution, but just wanted to throw it out there that I actually have seen some remedies be successful. I was skeptical at first, but I'm much more open to it now than I used to be.
Has your oldest been tested for celiac disease?
I really believe a holistic approach can be very helpful but not with things like malabsorption disorders (imo).
I was also going to suggest celiac. Are you sure his MSPI is resolved? It doesn't sound like it? Or does he still have problems even on that diet?
when I hear 'heavy metal poisoning' etc I think 'money grabbing quack', personally.
