My hair has always been slightly wavy, but since I've had kids it's gotten crazy curly. I blow it into shape in the morning and by lunch I have all of these little sticky-outy flips, no matter what cut I have.
It's makin' me loopy. I am not used to this much curl.
Re: Did your hair change after having kids?
I lost an enormous amount of hair after each child (esp. around my hairline) and some of it really did not come back. Much of it came back grey
which blows.
My hair seems thinner and more lifeless than before kids.
Or maybe it's just because I'm in my 40s now.
We seem to share the same hair. I finally realized why my hair was so freakishly frizzed out all winter. It's curly now. WTF???
So, I did three things.
I got haircuts that can be scrunched and curly - but I'm growing it out some at the same time. The cuts can also look good straight.
I got a cheap flatiron.
I got product for both scenarios.
This way when it's humid I can still have a decent hairdo with some control, when it's not I can straighten it & feel normal.
I always had curly hair until I had my first. My hair turned straight, and has stayed that way! I too went through an identity crisis. I was known for my curly hair and to loose that when I was almost 30 took an adjustment.
Now my oldest dd has my curly hair and it is her trade mark trait that everyone comments on. I tell her she took my curls. My younger dd has stick straight hair.

Uh, yeah... ALL of the hair on my head fell out (along with my eyebrows and an eyelash!)
Damn auto-immune issue (alopecia totalis - woot!)
With some aggressive treatment, it has grown back for the most part (damn stuff is trying to fall out again - gah!), but it's now much darker (or gray!) and has a wave to it when it was stick-straight before.
Ah, what we go through for our children...
