PP bleeding or AF?

Up until last week, I was still experiencing daily PP bleeding/spotting. (I am 6 wks. PP.) However, I had a few days with no bleeding, then yesterday it started again and it seems different than before, more red in color. (sorry, tmi.)

Could this be AF rearing her ugly head already???!!! I am EBFing Olivia, and I have my 6 wk. check-up on Friday, so I'll be sure to bring this up then, but I was just curious about when AF returned for moms who were EBFing.

Not sure thats what it is, I had the same thing and I think I was just pushing it. And then I didnt have AF for 4 months.

I bled off and on for a good 8 weeks I think.  And just when I thought it had stopped, a day or so later it would start back up again - usually when I did too much around the house.  My AF did not come back until I was done BFing/Pumping @ 7 months.

Seems a little early for AF to be back, especially with you EBFing. I'd be more inclined to think that maybe it is just pp bleeding starting back up. I know that when I was at that stage, I actually stopped spotting for about a week before it started back up again when I overexerted myself. I know it can also vary in color (sorry for TMI!). Have you been more active recently?

Sounds like PP bleeding still.  I normally do that for 8 weeks.  My PPAF came back at 3 months this time and I am EBF, it has been as long as 7 months too.

It's funny you posted this today, because the exact same thing happened to me, right down to it stopping and then starting up again yesterday.  I'm really afraid it's my period, even though I EBF Brady and didn't have my first PP period until 8 months.  I've been whining about it all day and I think my husband is rolling my eyes every time I turn around.  I'm going to be so upset if it is.

This is more TMI than you wanted I'm sure, but here's my story.....

Stopped bleeding shortly after my 6week pp visit.  Then a week later it started again for a week or so, then stopped a few days, then started up for about a week.  This cycle continued for a good few weeks and I was convinced it was AF, except I was concerned about the frequency and some pain I was having.  Long story short, after a few OB visits and an ultrasound they still aren't sure what it is but my OB doesn't think it's AF.  He thinks it's still residual pp bleeding since I'm EBF (and it's still going on!!!  Grr!).  So I would bet you are experiencing pp bleeding still.  I know I didn't stop bleeding completely with DS until closer to 8-10 weeks pp.

I started my PP at 8 weeks with pumping - to say I'm a bit pissed about it is an understatement.
