I really am liking Audrey and Aubrey for a girl, but looking on the internet I see that Aubrey is a boy's name. I have never heard of this for a boy, and frankily can not imagine a boy named Aubrey. My husband likes Aubrey better than Audrey. What are your opinions on these two names?

I would, 100 percent of the time, assume Aubrey was a girl.
I do prefer Audrey, though.
Baby Boy born sleeping at 20 weeks.
Haha, this. I'm not a fan of it for either. Too feminine for a boy, but sounds wrong for a girl. Audrey is lovely though.
Genders of words and names in languages go way, way back. Much farther than the existence of any website. The bolded is precisely why we care. Because it's embarrassing/confusing when parents start using boy names for girls. The last parent to "get the memo" that the name has "switched sides" ends up regretting naming their child a name that cause folks like you to pity their child. I am guessing this person is asking for clarity about Aubrey because she doesn't want to make a mistake like that.
I wouldn't use Aubrey on a boy.
I think it's gone the way of Sydney and Ashley---girls only territory.
To me, it's a name of a nice conditioner that I sometimes use:
Like it on my hair. Not a fan for a person.
PS- I always thought Meredith Willson was a woman. You learn something new every day....
I only know girls named Aubrey, but I've always loved it for a boy instead.
Drake's real name is Aubrey.
