Aidan Michael A...

I often get a second look because I am Andrea Andrews (I'm putting it out there because it is hard to get an opinion otherwise)...

Is Aidan Michael Andrews a mean thing to do?  Aidan Andrews??

I don't think it's bad.  It flows nicely, IMO.  It's not like you're naming him Andrew Andrews.

Aidan Andrews is fine. Your first and last names have the same first five letters - totally different deal IMO.

  • I don't think it's mean necessarily, but I think you could do much better. Aidan is boring, and paired with an "A" last name, I just don't think it's the best choice out there.

Ditto.  It's kind of a snoozer name.  If you're not totally attached to Aidan, keep looking.  Someone here did the math, and there were 90,000+ -aden boys born last year. Enough already.

  • I really like the name Aidan.  And Aidan Andrews sounds fine.   The one thing that the name "Aidan" get spelled incorrectly--normally, they spell it "Aiden", and they do not ask if it is spelled correctly.  As well, there is a "Hayden" baby girl in our daycare, so if my baby boy Aidan and baby girl Hayden are sitting close together and someone calls out one of their names-they may both look.  It is important to just name your child a name that you love.

All of this... no more -adens!!

  • I'm so ridiculously sick of the name Aidan. And it doesn't flow all that well with Andrews IMO.
