Can you do PGD (I think that is the right term) or genetic testing on frosties? My neighbor has six in storage and she was wondering. I know one of you wise ladies here will know the answer!

Re: Question for a friend about PGD on frosties
What day were they frozen on? We have two day 5 and two day 6 frosties and unfortunately, it isn't an easy process...at least at this point. We used Reprogenetics in NJ my last two cycles (we're in Dallas) and they usually do a day 3 biospy, PGD on day 4 and have results the morning of Day 5 so that you have transfer on Day 5. Our frosties are from our very first IVF before we knew about my DH's balanced translocation so we had not done PGD. Our RE said the only way we could test our frosties right now is to actually fly our embies and myself to NJ for my cycle. We'd have them thawed and tested the same day and would do transfer right away. Because of the distance, the turnaround with Day 5 & 6 embies is just too fast.
HTH! Good luck to your friend!
