I would be doing a little happy dance!! But seriousy if it were after 5pm I would wake him up, but it's 3:30. Still very early to mess up bedtime at least in our house.
I would probably let him sleep. The few times T has done that meant something was going on (getting sick or teeth or something) and we found that he still went to bed relatively close to the same time, but if we woke him he was a cranky beast. Plus, you can use this time to study for some of those lovely finals :-) But now that you asked about it, he'll probably wake up anyways...
