Alynn Rose is here!

I am pretty out of it so bare with me!

Short version:
Alynn was born at 7:44 am on the 16th, weighting 7lbs 5 oz and 18 inches long!

Long version:
We had to be here at the hospital yesterday at 5:30 yesterday morning and our surgery was set for 7:30. The nurses were great were great with going along with our birth plan which was so nice. They had some major issues getting my IV started, it took 3 tries and 2 nurses but we finally got it. At 7:20 they walked me into the OR, I got my spinal and they inserted the cath. (All the nurses were impressed I requested it being done after I was numb. Thank you bump!)

Nayt came in after i was numb and we were under way. It only took then 20 minutes to get her out, and the pedi was waiting right next to the surgical bed so I could see everything she was doing with Alynn. They also left the chord long so Nayt could trim it up. Once she was clean, I was allowed to touch her before they took her to the nursery. They has some bleeding issues with my surgery, and it took almost an hour for them to finish up with me.

Once I was out of surgery, Alynn was brought right to me in recovery, which was so amazing. We were able to nurse right away and she is a little breast feeding champ, and so far my boobs have been able to keep up. She is such a tiny little peanut, and i can't get over how much smaller she is then Drew was at her age.

Both of our blood sugars have been awesome, the pedi said today that unless she read the paper work she would never have known that Alynn was born to a type II diabetic. My blood pressure has also completely corrected itself already!!

Drew has been up twice now to see us, the first time he could care less about his sister. Last night he finally noticed her and would pet her hair and kiss her, though it doesn't last long until he is saying all done and pushing her away.;)

I am in a lot of pain still, even with the extra strength Vicodin. My doctor had to do a tradition closure section, which they say is more painful and has a higher chance of infection but its worth it not to have an allergic reaction.

Alynn is a little breastfeeding champ, and she slept so well last night, though she is a bet fussy today. I am so very in love with her and it has made the last couple of hard months so worth it in every way! Thank you all for the t&ps and for helping me get through all the ups and downs that came with this pregnancy! I love you all!!

Here is my tiny little red headed princess!
