The only midwives I've found in this area that accepting new patients are the Back Cove Midwives in Portland. They have a great website with lots of info - https://backcovemidwives.com/. I have my first appt with them on the 23rd and I've heard great reviews, but that would be my suggestion.
Also, we toured Mercy Hospital's maternity ward recently and when I mentioned the Back Cove MW's the nurse said that they LOVED them, which can only mean good things. Hope this helps!!
Natalie Rockwell at MidCoast Women's Health is fantastic! Elsa in that same practice is also great. MidCoast is also a great little hospital to deliver at.
thanks. Although now the OB says that due to my age they will insist on me delivering in Portland. Not sure how that will work as it is 1hr 15 min away in good weather and the baby is due in Jan.
