We're looking for simple boy names to go with our last name. We're using Thomas as the middle name (family name) but we're stuck on the first name!
We like the name Jack...its simple and nowadays everyone is trying so hard to be different.....everyone is coming up with the same name. We think an old fashion name might be best. Any ideas?
Re: Simple classic boy names....like Jack
I like Jack a lot.
Suggestions - Dean, Max, Leo, James, Todd, Scott, Ross, Jay, Luke, Mark, Cole, Russ, Alex, Ben, Sam, Finn, Ray, Ian, John, Theo, Jake, Levi, Ryan, Rob, Adam, Eli, Eric, Jude, Kane, Owen, Reid, Rhys, Grant, Clark, Greg, Paul, Shane, Sean, Seth, Clint, Carl, Will, Tim
Everyone is coming up with the same name, but in my experience, that name is often Jack. :-p
For ideas for "simple" names no one is using, I like to refer to either my parents' generation or my own. Names like Kevin, Steven, Jason, etc. Ben, Will, and Jack will never be the one and only in their class.
I know you don't want to be "different" but EVERYONE is naming their son Jack/Jackson/Jaxon/Jax
Maybe Edward, Bruce, Raymond, Russell, Mark, Patrick
Less popular, but still classic and recognizable

My naming style is similar to yours - I love simple, classic names for boys.
Love Jack. Other old classics I like:
Samuel
Benjamin
Nathaniel (or Nathan)
Henry
Simon
Ian
Isaac
I love Ethan, but it's the number 2 most popular name, which is a bit too popular for my taste.
