preparing for baby...

I was wondering if anyone had taken any types of classes to prepar for the birth of their child anywhere other than the hospital?  I was thinking of looking around at community centers in the area? I live in the NE Minneapolis, Columbia Heights, Fridley, New Brighton, Roseville area.

    We took our 'Preparing for Childbirth' class at Amma Maternity and were really happy with it. We also went to a free cloth diaper class and will be going to a child care fare this Thursday. They were recommended by our midwives and have a wide variety of classes, including free workshops.

    My Dr. also recommended Amma Maternity in Edina, so I'm currently signed up to take classes there. I'll be at this Thursday's free child care fair too!

    I also went to Amma Maternity for classes. Sara is awsome and everyone is so helpful. I also took their New Mama class, Beyond Newborns class, and now am doing the Rollie Pollie class. My son and I have made new friends and have had a blast being there.
