So i've been having a heck of hard time deciding specifically what color to pick for my nursery. I know i want yellow, DH and i thought we picked a nice yellow when a friend of ours told us it would be way too bright on the wall. Back to the drawing board! For those of you who have already painted your nursery, do you mind posting what brand name and color name you picked and a short description of it? Don't limit it to yellow, i want it to be useful to all the August Mamas out there!!!
Re: Post your nursery paint color here
My colors will be:
Raspberry Pudding and Hawaiian Shell. Both paints are by Behr.
The Hawaiian Shell (soft pink) will be the top part of the wall, then a white chair rail will be added, the bottom wall will be the Raspberry Pudding (cranberry color).

I painted my nursery in an awesome yellow! It's not too light, it's not too bright, it's not too dark. It's called "evening glow". It's by Olympic (Premium) carried at Lowe's. It's no VOC and low odor. I just love it. I totally recommend that color, since you are looking for a yellow! Oh, and it was only about $24 a gallon.
Wish I had a better picture of it. I had to take it with my laptop and it doesn't do the color justice.
Spa in the nursery and Asparagus in the playroom, both by Behr.

We just painted ours Behr Light French Gray. I love it. It's a pale gray/blue.
The room is still a work in progress. I used Olympic No VOC in South Pacific.
Here it is in a slightly different light:
Our nursery is red. People think I'm crazy because I'm having a girl and picked red...I'm not a pink person. I like the idea of red because it really goes either way. We don't plan on waiting too long before having another so we plan to just move DD across the hall and using the nursery we will already have done for the next addition, regardless of sex.
The nursery isn't near done, but the furniture is black and the bedding will be black french toile.
Valspar - Golden Chime
I've decided on a Lion/Jungle Theme since our LO will be a Leo.

We used Spring Cactus by Glidden. A light spring green.
BFP #1 - BFP #2 - Blog
and Luck to my BFPB StephK!!- Emma is here!!
We used Laura Ashley 1412 Navy 6

We are using Frost by Behr. It is white with a tint of blue. We have a big wall mural of Fenway Park that is going behind the crib so we couldn't really use a color.

We went with cool aqua by Benjamin Moore. I don't have any pictures of the nursery painted yet, but here is a google search:
If you are unsure about the color I felt like I had good luck searching google images for other photos people have posted to see how their rooms turned out with various colors. While it will never look the "same" as your room due to lighting/primers etc, it was still nice to get a general idea and helped me rule out some colors.
We used Behr Velvet morning becuase it matches the Blue in the fabric I"m using. I love it because its a little darker then baby blue but not too dark which we needed because we have dark trim and dark furniture.
And here it is on the walls with the curtains I made
DS#1- Born August 2011
Behr's River's Edge in flat, with glossy white molding, bookshelves, and doors.
and then Behr's Poppy Glow on the backs of the built in shelves.
We went with Disney Color by Behr Premium from Home Depot.
The color on 2 of the walls is Oh Brother Blue
The other color is Space Hero Blue (1 wall)
We did horizontal stripes of both colors on the wall opposite the darker blue. We ended up with 7 12" stripes.
here's the paint chip from the Lowe's site:
Also, we painted DD's playroom a gorgeous yellow. It's Valspar's Filoli Honey. It's a rather sophisticated yellow and very calming and warm.
It looks a little dark in this photo, but I don't feel like the website chip is accurate.
We did yellow and I wanted a buttercream yellow not bright. We went with the Behr Disney Paint Baby Bee Yellow and I love it.
Our guest room is Duron's Antique white (this is not our house but I google-imaged it and this is the color:
And the baby's room is at the moment becoming Duron's Byte Blue (couldn't find a pic online except for the swatch:
We used "Beautiful Blue" by waverly classics.
We used Valspar Firmament
This is how it turned out!
Wow, I got to say that chip really looks different from the paint itself. The paint chip and color that I have look nothing like that. Thanks a lot, Lowe's website!
Behr Mocha Latte:
Here's how it looks in the room:
