Double jogging stroller

I've never been to this forum and I usually post/read the July 11 forum.

I had a question about double jogging strollers and another member suggested I ask here.

Sorry if it's been asked before.

Does anyone have any experience with them , or know of anyone that recommends one.

I currently have a Baby Trend single and love it, but most of the double Baby Trends don't come with the tray which is weird to me. I'm also trying to find one that would be compatible with the infant carrier (Baby Trend).

This is the one I've been looking into https://www.babytrend.com/joggers_double/DX60740.html

And this is the one that I already have except the colors are the same as the double one posted. https://www.target.com/Baby-Trend-Expedition-Jogger-Travel/dp/B003ZDGDCS/ref=br_1_12?ie=UTF8&id=Baby%20Trend%20Expedition%20Jogger%20Travel&node=3579971&searchSize=30&searchView=grid3&searchPage=1&sr=1-12&qid=1305569264&rh=&searchBinNameList=style_name%2Ctarget_com_brand-bin%2Ctarget_com_primary_color-bin%2Cprice&searchRank=pmrank&frombrowse=1

Thanks!

Re: Double jogging stroller

  • I have the one in your first link, except mine has one front swivel wheel vs. two. I've ran a few 5Ks with it and jogged/did long walks with it. It's a breeze to push and is good for grass, road, or sidewalks. The girls love this stroller and look pretty comfy in it. Easy to maintain the wheels air pressure with a standard bike pump.

My only drawbacks: 1) it is wide--i.e. doesn't fit through a lot of doorways and I didn't like that I couldn't fit through grocery aisles (granted, this was when I was living in NY and everything is narrow but just an fyi) and 2) it's heavy to get in and out of the car--I simply use it to do jogs/walks around the neighborhood unless DH helps to lift

  • I don't know anything about the babytrend.  I have the BOB dualle and absolutely love it.  We take it everywhere and have abandoned all of our other strollers.  For a double, I can still fit it into all stores and through all doorways.  It is still too wide to get deep into some stores though.

As a running stroller, it is perfect for both me (slow short distance runner), and MH (fast - triathlete)

Where did you get yours? I cant find it with one wheel in front.

I would love a BOB but they are super expensive.

  • I too would love the BOB but out of my price range!

  • Thanks Walmart is  lot cheaper both on price and shipping. I think I've pretty much made up my mind to get it. I hope it's easy to run with.
