We're having DS's bday party this weekend and I need a yummy punch recipe. What's your favorite? I'm looking for something that doesn't have sherbert. TIA!
If you don't mind ginger ale in it, I really liked this one. My mom made it for my cousin's shower.
2- 2 liters of Ginger ale, chilled
3-3oz packs of fruit flavored Jello mix
3 c sugar
13 cups of boiling water
1 16 bottle of lemon juice
2 - 46oz cans of pineapple juice
Mix jello packets and sugar, and pour in boiling water, slowly, until all is dissolved. Add pineapple and lemon juices. Freeze liquid (we used large zip lock bags). About four hours or so before your party, start to thaw mixture. Once it gets 'slushy' Add ginger ale and stir well, Good stuff.
1 oblong seedless watermelon (about 14 pounds)3 cups seltzerDirectionsCut top third off watermelon; trim bottom just enough to make a flat surface. Scoop out flesh.Working in batches, puree watermelon in a food processor. Strain through a fine sieve; discard solids. (You should have about 9 cups juice.) Cover rind with plastic wrap. Refrigerate juice and rind until chilled, about 1 hour. Combine juice with seltzer; transfer to rind.

Cranberry Punch
4 cups cranberry juice
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 cups pineapple juice
1 tablespoon almond extract
2 liters ginger ale
Fresh fruit slices
Rum (optional)
Combine first 4 ingredients. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Chill.
Add ginger ale just before serving.
Garnish with fruit slices if desired.
I usually make the first part of the mixture the night before and then do the ginger ale and fruit the day off.
Serves 30.
