  • Our pedi recommends waiting until 6 months, I am thinking I will likely start abit sooner, as DS is already watching us eat with interest.
  • The AAP recommends 6 mos but some pedis will suggest 4 mos if they're healthy eaters. (32oz+)

  • I started at 4.5 months.... Charlie was STARING at us when we ate. And now he opens his mouth if you are near him with a spoon. He loves eating!

  • we started at just over 4 months.
  • we were going to wait until 6 mos, but our pedi said 4 recent studies debunked the idea that food allergies were more likely when foods were introduced earlier.  she said as long as they're at least 4 months, over 13 lbs, and making you feel guilty for eating in front of them, they're ready!
  • We waited until 6 months. Also, I think it's easy to confuse a baby wanting to play with your food and put it in his mouth with actually wanting to eat your food. I'm not saying that all babies are this way, just make sure not to confuse the two.
