Lena has some crazy reflux and I'm willing to try just about anything.
I've decided to try soy formula again. We tried for less than a day when she was still mostly BF'd and it didn't make a change.
I had a formula check for a free can of gerber soy and decided it was worth another try. Two bottles in and no change. I'm getting nervous about her STTN tonight with the change.
How long do I wait before giving up and going back to AR?
Re: Trying soy... how long before giving up?
We're starting solids in another week or so and I'm overly excited about seeing how much of a difference it makes. I figure I'll try this until the can is empty and if there's no significant change, then we'll just go back to the AR. In good news though, I'm visiting my ILs and the closest store to them is Walmart (and I don't usually shop there), so that is where we went to pick up formula yesterday. I noticed that their Parents Choice brand has an AR formula and it is about a $10 difference in price!
I was very relieved that she still STTN last night
She was a little fussy at bedtime and I was getting really nervous, but as soon as she was swaddled and in bed, she was out like a light!
When we started solids - it made a difference in Q's reflux
Now that he is able to sit up more in the highchair and Bumbo, that has also really helped. The pedi told me that we should start seeing more and more of a difference as he eats more solids. So far cereal, sweet potatoes and bananas haven't come back up and we've had no arching
Heaven! LOL.
