We are seeing Dr. Yanushpolsky at the Brigham. Really like her, she's very nice to work with. We will be going through our first and hopefully only round of IVF this Summer.

I just saw your post and I just signed up so I could reply to you.  My husband and saw Dr.Obasiolu for 2 IVF cycles, both failed.  He was the worst Doctor ever and we actually complained about him.  I can't believe we stayed as long as we did, but when the hope of a child is before you, I guess you do what you have to do.

I did tons of research after our experience with him and we switched Doctors and facilities and went to see Dr. Elizabeth Ginsburg she is the Director at Brigham.  She was awesome and has offices in both Boston and Weymouth. Silver lining is we had success on our first attempt with her and I just gave birth to healthy, beautiful boy/girl twins on 4/25/2011!!!

I wish you success in your journey.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions/concerns and I would be happy to provide any information that I can.

    Good luck!!!

Dr. Weiss at Fertility Centers of New England is wonderful! His nurse Mona is sweet as could be and always patient. His "care teams" (Mona and Sandy) are on top of things All the time. The Dedham location is easy to get to, clean, and open early (7 a.m.) for before work labs and ultra sounds.

I highly recommend Fertility Solutions. They are 4 female doctors that started their own practice after leaving RSC. They are awesome, all of them. They have many offices all over. I saw them in Woburn, MA. Dr. Ania Kowalik was my doctor but I have dealt with them all. Such personal attention from the doctors (they do their own ultrasounds)

    Check them out!

Ironically, I went to my first fertility specialist appointment and when they ran my blood test, I was pregnant! However, for the past 8 weeks, besides going to an OB, I've gone to the same doctor - Dr. Jan Shifren at Partners Reproductive Group at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Both Dr. Shifren and her nurse Judy have been amazing and they are both so knowledgeable. I highly, highly recommend them.

I went to MGH and saw Thomas Toth.  He was great.  Very down-to-earth.  Didn't hurt that I got pregnant on my first try with him.  Jan Shifren, who someone else mentioned, is also there.  She did my first pregnancy u/s, and I really liked her as well.  Even though it was the first time I met her, after she went through everything she congratulated me and gave me a big hug.  Good luck!

You have lots of recs here, but I thought I'd throw mine in too. :) I see Dr. Penzias at Boston IVF in Waltham (though they have other offices as well). We had what turned out to be a pretty complicated situation, and he was great. Very nice and informed. He and Dr. Alper are known world wide as infertility experts. The Waltham office is open on weekends for tests and procedures, which is nice if that's your main office. I also have used their mind/body services there.

I saw Dr. Brian Berger at Boston IVF 617-793-1100. He was amazing! I referred 3 other people to him and they were equally impressed. His manner is great and the staff as well were great!

I was referred to  Dr. Yanushpolsky at the Brigham in Weymouth by a friend who used her to get pg w/her first. She's a straight shooter, no-non sense lady, I liked her.

A friend of mine used Dr. Mansour (sp?) at the Brigham in Boston.

    Good luck!

I'm super late to this...but Dr. Mansour is a regular OB.  He's my OB at the Brigham.

Just started cycling with Dr. Brian Berger at Boston IVF.  LOVE him so far.  I did 3 cycles at the Brigham with Dr. Fox - do not recommend.  However, I have heard that Dr. Ashby is wonderful at the Brigham.

originally started with Dr. Fox and did not like her at all (maybe we just didn't click personality wise), changed to Dr Yanushpolsky and she was great, got pregnant with my first. then moved and started seeing Dr. Ginsburg, she was great until I brought my son in with me one day, she was really rude to him which really really upset me... but I am pregnant now with twins, thanks to her.

After reading this thread, I'm a little nervous about my upcoming appointment with Dr. Obasiolu at Harvard Vanguard.  I wonder if I should try to switch - might take a little longer....

I met with Dr. Yanuahpoksky. She was amazing, professional and had a definitive plan set from day 1. I could not say enough about her!

Wow, I also have an appt coming up with Dr. Obasiolu and just did some searching and found all these comments (and other equally negative comments elsewhere).  Looks like I should try to switch too... Has anyone had a good experience with him?
  • Options
Does anyone have experience with Dr. Skiadas or Dr. Lee, also at Harvard Vanguard?

I worked with Dr. Skiadas.  She is very personable and explains everything clearly.  I am 9 weeks pregnant!

I'm a patient of Dr. Obasiolu. I am currently pregnant on my 2nd round of IVF. I like him but I wish they gave more information...I had to consistently ask for results when I called and I don't spend much time with him- it's his nurses that are the ones I speak with the most. I don't think everything's fully explained well BUT and this is a huge but..due to my history, I was monitored closely by him and he detected early I was ectopic and I'm very thankful for it. I was able to get the methotrexate shot instead of a D&C, which I'm so happy about.. I'm a patient a Harvard Vanguard so I didn't have much choice and guess the best I could say is I don't hate him...but I don't love him either. In the end, it's the baby that matters and I am here today pregnant because of him.

@skiboston and @carrie414 - this is probably a very late response, but I see Dr. Grace Lee at HVMA Kenmore (she also practices at the Wellesley practice).  I really like her - she and her nurses (Lauren, Tracy and Nicole) are extremely responsive and very patient with my many questions.

I also like that she is more aggressive (but not too much so) - she doesn't want to take the wait and see approach since we are over 35 and so far there is no reason we are not pregnant.  Her goal is to have us get pregnant sooner or later.  I am on my first round of IVF but so far so good.  The Kenmore office is also open 7 days a week and always has a doctor on call on weekends holidays.  I have had Sat and Sun ultrasounds and labworks, and received call backs on weekends with follow-up questions, etc.

They partner with RSC New England for the actual IVF retrieval and transfer, but all labs and testing is done at Kenmore (or Wellesley).  For the IUIs, everything is done in the HVMA offices.

Good luck!  Feel free to PM me with any additional questions on Dr. Lee.
