Newly SIngle Parent

My son is 4 months old and the father and I are splitting up.  We both want different things.  It hurts like hell but I am looking forward to moving on with my life.  We are not married.  I am a SAHM but am looking for a job.  This is going to be so very hard for me because none of my family lives here.  I live in florida and everyone else either lives in arizona or north carolina.  I don't know if I can move out of the state or what.  He wants him half the time which I think is unreasonable because I feel that a child of that age needs his mom all the time.  

Does anyone have a similar experience or know how I will be able to leave the state without going to court?
