I'm not going to have 2u2, but I figure you ladies might be the ones to ask. DD#1 is 3 but we still use her monitor for her and anticipate continuing to do so for some time. Our children's rooms are on the first floor and DH and I are moving upstairs after DD#2 is born. I was looking for a 2 room monitor, but they don't seem to exist. Do you have any suggestions? DD#1's monitor is a basic Fisher Price Lights and Sounds model. I'm concerned about getting interference between the two, plus we have a lot of electronics (DH is a huge computer geek). I don't want a video monitor. Do I pay for a digital monitor (ie Avent) or could I get by with another monitor similar to DD#1's? A friend suggested her Sony Baby Call monitor. Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Re: Monitors for 2 kids?
I have looked and researched all over for this and from what I understand, the only way to have two kid rooms hooked to one receiver in your room is to do the video monitor ones where you buy two cameras and can watch them both on the one little receiver TV in your room...correct me anyone if I'm wrong, but that is what I have found.
I'm totally fine with two different monitors, if they work. Two room monitor is not a necessity.
Gotcha...I'm not sure then..good luck! Hope you find something that works! You could always just get one really good one and put it on a table in the hallway outside their rooms so one monitor could pick up both rooms....
