I have PCOS and don't get a period except with Provera. I go in for my HCG blood test on Wednesday, but if it's negative do you think I'll have to take Provera before I start taking Femara for the next cycle? Taking Provera just feels like wasting an entire month before starting again.
Re: Provera after IUI?
If you took femara, were properly monitored in order to time your IUI, then you should have ovulated. Therefore you will get your period if you aren't pregnant without needing provera. Provera is only needed when you don't ovulate.
Good luck

I agree with PP. That's weird that you don't get your period even when you ovulate. I mean, I've heard of it happening every now and then, but every month?
Provera does suck. You should only have to take it like 10 days at the most though. I know, you're out like half a month or so. Sorry that's the case for you. Hopefully you won't have to deal with it, and you'll get a + HCG!

Thanks for the replies! I know, it is really weird that I don't get one at all without BC or Provera, but my OB and RE said it happens with PCOS. I've had 50+ day cycles after Clomid with confirmed ovulation from an OPK and blood test.
Bummer about the Provera after IUI - every time I take it I take the pills for 10 days and then wait another 5-6 days for AF. Going to keep hoping for a positive pregnancy test. I broke down and tested at 10dpiui and it was negative.
Thanks again for taking the time to reply!
