"Going Away Party" Etiquette

My Bff's g/f is moving away to Milwaukee in a couple of weeks- she got a new job as a news anchor there.

My question is- do you give a gift for a going away party? If so- what?

    Do something small, either something specific to where she is moving or where she is leaving...a guide book of the new city or a food care package specific to there or where she currently lives.

    Do a Laverne and Shirley themed basket, lol. I like the idea of a guidebook. Maybe a GC for a service at a salon/spa there.

    Do you know what station? I will have to watch for her :) There are a lot of good restaurants in Milwaukee that you could get her a GC too (Ale House, Rock Bottom Brewery, Water Street Brewery)
