My husband and I have been together for 3 years. Prior to that I dated a man for 9 years (we never got married, thank God). My best friend, who was my Matron of Honor, is married to my ex's brother. My ex and I split up because he frequently had issues keeping his zipper up (if you know what I mean).
Anyway, to get to the point, his mother blamed me saying if I made him happy enough he wouldn't have "had" to do what he did. Which yes, I know is a ridiculous statement so it never really bothered me. It showed/shows her character. My BFF was by her house yesterday (the woman is her mother-in-law). They were talking about vacations this summer and my BFF says well after the camping vacation I'll only have one day left and I'm saving that for November when Sara has her baby. I guess she didn't know I was pg. Her comment to my BFF.... "wow, she didn't waste any time but I suppose she is getting up there in age."
Really???? That's all she could think to say and to my BEST FRIEND! I'm only 29 and when baby is born my DH and I will have been married for 13 months. Why do I let that woman annoy the s*** out of me?
Thanks for letting me vent and sorry for the long post.....
Re: Vent (NBR) long....
This seriously made me LOL! You couldn't be more accurate.
This 100%. I'm not even sure why your friend felt the need to repeat this to you. It's just hurtful and accomplishes nothing.

Ditto, your friend isn't in the wrong here but she would've done you both a favor had she not repeated this to you. If she was determined to tell you, the least she could've done is defend you to her MIL.
