I had my first VBAC 2 years ago and am due in November. I did SO MUCH research the first time around. I changed providers from an OB to a midwifery practice which I LOVE and are so supportive of my natural birth plan etc...
I am wondering what I should be doing this time around. I already have a great midwifery provider, I (think) I have a better chance of another vbac since i've already had one but I don't want to be too relaxed b/c I will be DEVASTATED to not have another vaginal delivery.
So if you've had or are planning for your 2nd VBAC what kind of things did you do/are you doing.......
The only thing I am thinking about adding this time is seeing a chiropracter (prob not until my 3rd trimester) as my DS was posterior and I had major back labor and would love to avoid that by working with someone experienced in helping to optimize the baby's position. I should add my first c/s was due to a breech baby so I am a bit paranoid about baby's positioning-
anyway would love any advice/experiences/etc....
Re: Preparing for my 2nd VBAC
Thanks! I had a doula last time and while I know there are AWESOME doula's out there mine really did NOTHING and I would have prefered if it was just DH and I in the room (and my nurse and midwife of course.)
Thanks for the kind words, i've got plenty of time until this labor I just remember how much research and time went into preparing for my first vbac and I feel like I SHOULD be doing SOMETHING this time to prepare but can't think of anything except for adding the chiropractic which I'll talk to my midwife about later on--
