I met a little girl yesterday named Verity. I have never heard it before and thought it was interesting. Thoughts?

I tend to like virtue names as MN's only. I grew up with an Honor, Prudence, Hope and Faith. I think it's a lot to live up to.

Are they from England or big fans of Doctor Who?  A women named Verity Lambert was the first producer of Doctor Who and was well known in the UK.  She even had an OBE.  So she is who I think of when I hear the name.

I love it...but I hear it pretty often over here in England. My favorite is a set of twins in Alex's playgroup: Verity and Harvey. They are sweet, sweet kids.

Although I don't like names like Hope, Faith, Grace, etc., I do really like Verity.

I see it as one of those name-nerd names, like Temperance or Peregrine. Although it isn't on my list, I could totally see myself using it in a parallel universe.

This is actually a really old virtue name, so it's unusual to hear now, but not unique.  I like it.

There's a girl in the Harry Potter books named Verity. I think one of the Weasley twins was trying to date her. I think her name is only mentioned a couple of times, but I always thought it was an interesting name so it stood out to me. I like it!

Oh, this, pretty much. I'm not a huge virtue name fan but I really like Verity.
