Just when I thought my day couldn't get worse, DH is watching a movie with DS on the laptop (the one I use for work no less) and DS pushes the monitor closed with such force that now the left side of the monitor is white. So luckily my files are viewable on the right side and I was able to copy them to a jump drive and I can at least work on the desktop computer. Did I mention that it's deadline week next week and I need my computer!
Yes sir, this is just peachy. And I'm on 4 hrs sleep. I guess it's time to put DS to bed and call it a day
Re: but wait... there's more!
I'm sorry you had such a terrible day! I know I'm a little late at responding but I wanted to tell you, if you haven't already done this, that calling the insurance company of the person who hit you should be really easy. I was involved in an accident a few years ago with a man who ran a red light and I plowed into him. I was shaken up and pretty stupid and didn't even think to call the police till I got home, but I did exchange insurance info with him. When I called my insurance company they told me I should first try calling his company and filing a claim with them, since it was his fault and we want them to pay for the damage, as opposed to me filing a claim and paying a deductible. I did and it was soo easy; his company contacted him and got his side of the story, then called me back and got mine, and within a few days I was able to go to an adjustor for an estimate then go take my car in for repairs - they even paid for a rental while it was being fixed. And this was without a police report or anything; I would think that given you have a police report and clear evidence of the accident, not to mention a witness, you should have no trouble at all.
Hope it all works out for you!
