stupid first time mom question

this ga heat is too much for dd while in her infant carrier in the stroller. but i'm nervous that she'll slip in the stroller alone. is that crazy?

also, my stroller doesn't lay flat. can dd sit in there even though she seems to wobble at times? is it safe?

that's my stupid question for the day. thanks gals!

  • I think you are supposed to wait until they are able to sit up on their own, that is what I have been told anyway.

This.  You can't use a "regular" stroller until baby can hold themselves upright and has excellent head control

My baby's been in a regular stroller since 5 weeks- the carrier was killing my elbow and shoulder and he's fine. He had relatively good head control, but my stroller also reclines pretty significantly  (Chicco Liteway, which is also labeled newborn-45 pounds.) .

  • you can totally put them in a regular stroller! not everyone uses the carriers. we do both depending on the situation. our graco stroller reclines quite a bit, and i just strap her in, she lies down, and is totally fine. i actually think she is happier that way than in the carseat- she always cries in her carseat.

  • Yes, if you're stroller has a full recline.  Otherwise, sitting upright is not safe at this age.

Same goes.  I've never heard otherwise.
