OMG! Don't you know it's impossible to name your child without the help of random strangers on the internet?!

Seriously though, we named our own kid. I don't get why it's so hard.

Me either, consider the majority of the answers to ANY name post are "eh, not my style". Oh well, my nameless baby will live in a cave high on a hill until I manage to poll the internets.

I see your point, but I also think that some women need help talking their husbands OUT of a name. Public forums are really useful in that situation.

I disagree. I don't understand why picking a name isn't a mutual decision. If your husband wants to name your son Boaz, and you don't, then how does asking strangers take precedent over communication with your husband? If it's to the point where I need suggestions on how to turn my husband off to certain names... there are other issues.

Hmmm, maybe I'll name him "Post ID:4187923" Should make any scantrons easy to fill in for him.

I vote "thumbs down" for every name choice on every one of those baby polls I visit

My scantrons always had A-Z and 0-9 for each column on the name section.
