I read the max weight for a convertible crib we have is 165lbs when converted into a full bed. This seems too low. Anybody have experience turning their crib into a full bed yet? Wouldn't it just be a headboard and foot board with a full sized metal frame? Seems like that would work for > 165lbs.
I'm getting ahead of myself for future kids, but I'll eventually need a guest bed. I figured I could get a convertable crib now and use it as a guest bed til we need it as a crib. It would need to hold two adults though. DS would still have his current convertable for a few years. Is this a stupid idea?
Re: Convertable crib used as full guest bed
Many convertables use rails to convert to a full size bed rather then using a metal bed frame, this may be the reason for a weight limit.
