What's killing me is the endless need to entertain each other.
They laugh together a LOT (which is great) but it's often over things like potty words (not so great).
I do sometimes think this particular challenge would be lessened if they were farther apart in age. I think an older one spaced farther would say "OK...that's not funny any more" but sadly when they're so close in age potty words seem to hold endless entertainment value and they just feed off each other.
They are also not allowed in the bathroom together. Somehow it always turns into a time to pee on each other or turn the bathroom into a watery mess. Too much temptation.
The up sides?
The almost 5 yr old sits and reads to his brother, they LOVE playing together, they're best buds and they giggle together all the time.
It's awesome.
(except when they're giggling over the word penis or poop non-stop all day long. Who know potty words could keep their entertainment value for so long at this age?)

I so remember being in the bathroom w/ my cousin who is 1 year older and he showed a spinning trick while peeing ( I was probably 5!) Boys!
At least you can take heart that it's normal!
