vacation recs with a 6 mo old

i want to go somewhere for Memorial day weekend. we do not want to fly so anything driveable or relatively close by will be great. we're going to OC mid-June so I am not looking to go to the beach for Memorial day weekend. one idea is to drive to the wineries but not sure if they are baby-friendly :-/.

any suggestions?

    We went to Charlottesville in the fall and it was very kid friendly.

    I've been to several VA wineries with LO and no isses. Check out the VA Wine Assoc website as I believe kid friendly wineries are marked. When in doubt, call ahead to check. I know Chrysalis (sp?) in Middleburg is not. Cheateau OBrien says 21+ but I called and they said it was ok to bring a baby in a carrier.
