Success after IF

Front load washer question

I have a maytag front loader and it has a soak cycle option. The directions say it lightly agitates and drains, no spin. So my questions is, do I add more soap and start a new regular cycle after the soak is done? or just start a new cycle? I read the instructions and it doesn't say. Help! :)

Re: Front load washer question

  • I have a LG but it doesn't use detergent on a soak cycle. You just start a regular cycle with detergent when it's done soaking.

  • So you mean I wasn't supposed to put detergent or bleach in there?! Crap.

The cycle just ends after it's done soaking, so 30 mins.

  • Why would you soak something in only water?
    siggy should be here!
  • I'm pretty sure that if it didn't need it, it wouldn't use it, so it may still be sitting in the dispenser. If not, then you know that it was used and you may need to refill if you want to run another regular.

  • It used the detergent but not the bleach. I just re started a new cycle and added some detergent. Thanks for the help!

You do for cloth diapers.  Or maybe stuff that has been pretreated.

Hmmm... Never thought of diapers. By pretreated do you mean with stain remover? I've never thought to do that either.

  • I have a front load Maytag.  I just load the washer like a regular wash cycle. Then start it on presoak.. it still has soap for regular wash.

Ha, I never use stain remover correctly, but I think some people spray, then soak, then wash.
