This is really kind of TMI, but I have to share it somewhere and I figure you ladies will understand.
So LO woke up at 2 am to nurse and I nursed him on the left side. I noticed that the right side felt a little fuller than it usually does, but not overwhelmingly so. I went back to bed at about 2:30 and woke up a couple of times when LO was noisy and noticed that I was getting uncomfortable. Finally, I woke up at 5 to get ready for work and I was drenched in milk. My right side had basically exploded all over the bed. This has never happened, even when my milk first came in.
Then when I went to pump, the bottle on my other side somehow sprung a leak, so I ended up with milk all over my leg. Then I knocked the other bottle on its side when I put it on the table.
Luckily, not too much leaked/spilled, and I still pumped several oz this morning.
And then as a positive milk story, I pumped at the hotel where my event was this morning. They found me a space and I actually pumped more than I usually do - either the eggs benedict (yum) or fancy ambiance helped me produce more, I guess. I am thinking about labelling today's milk as "Bottled at the Ritz-Carlton" but I don't know that LO will appreciate that.
Re: Milksplosion!
God, I wish I had ever had enough milk to have an explosion like that! Whenever I went longer between feedings, my boobs were like, "meh." Made no difference.
That's funny about the Ritz milk - maybe you can put it in a fancy gold bottle for him so he knows it's special.

do it and take a photo, he won't appreciate it (now or ever, he's a man after all) but it'll be something to laugh about later
