Pre-School and Daycare

I think I might cry

My DD starts her first year of PreSchool this year. And actually this July she is taking some summer classes at the school. I think I might cry when she goes off the first day. She will even be riding the bus! I want her to be a baby again, shes just growing up too fast!

Re: I think I might cry

  • I did cry on DS's first day of preschool, but at least I managed to wait until I got in my car again before I did it, so DS didn't see.  He was crying, and it was sooo hard for me to leave him there.  He cried every morning for the first week, and a couple of days of the second week.  He was having a great time while he was there, just scared about not having me there with him.  Hopefully your little one will have tons of fun at school!

  • It'll be okay. I know it sucks. I went through the girls old clothes to give to my sister who just had a little girl. I sobbed silently while doing laundry, folding their tiny little onesies etc. I try to focus on the moment we are in now and what fun we can do in the future.

  • Aw, it's totally normal to cry!

I cried a bunch in the days leading up to DD1's first day of preschool, cried some more after we dropped her off, and lately I've been getting teary-eyed again just thinking about how the school year is almost over already. Why can't time move a little slower?!

Yeah i am sure most parents feel this way, seeing their toddlers starting a new chapter of their lives. if you do break down i?d suggest you do it after  she leaves. I am sure you  want her to start her first day in a positive note.good luck, hope she has a great time and you too cope up with your heartache!
