New play area!

So yesterday we went to the new play area at Bellevue Square.  Its super cute and the toys are very toddler friendly. However it is quite a work out being the protective monther I am chasing him all over to make sure he doesn't get hurt while parents just sit on the sidelines letting their kids go crazy.  Next time we will go during school so that there aren't as many kids there!!!

  I was a little ticked though when a mom with a little girl about Cruz's age was letting her little girl climb on a ledge above where Cruz was and wasn't holding on to her.  Before I could get to Cruz and get him out of the way "just in case" Yep she fell on him and the mom stood there not pulling her child off mine(commenting its just a little baby pile up) as I'm making a mad grab for him and GASPING when blood was coming out of his mouth.  Honestly I would have loved to have punched her in the face! Apparently he split his lip when she fell on him, poor baby he had a big fat lip all evening!

I never get out that way but I love the one at Lynnwood.

 

I however am the parent on the sidelines sipping a coffee while Eli plays. I only get up to move him if another child becomes aggressive with him or if he is doing somehting that could seriously injure him. But I tend to not hover anyway. bumbs and bruises happen and Eli needs to expierence them to learn what his capabilities are. just my 2 cents.
